He says: Absolutely loved it. A bargain at the bottle shop, and well-priced at Bin 941. An excellent food wine, and unlike some big Tempranillos, this one doesn’t need a big beef dish as the tannins are so fine and elegant. Excellent acidity and ripe fruit on the palate.

She says: lovely rich black fruit that meant we just had to have the chocolate torte.  What a shame.  This is just a hint of what Ribero Del Duero has to offer… an area worth exploring.  I can’t wait for more.

Tasting note

Looks like: Clear, med- ruby
Smells like: Developing, clean, med- intensity, black fruit, leather, earthy, wet leaves
Tastes like: Med+ acidity, med body, med+ tannins (very fine and elegant), rich blackberry, chocolate, med+ length with good complexity
Summary: Very Good, Ready to drink but can develop further
