He says: A fresh, fruity, Chardonnay with nary a hint of oak. For all you ABC’ers out there (Anything But Chardonnay), here’s one you should mark down to try. Well-balanced with some mid-palate sweetness, and a wide range of fruit, from green to hints of tropical. At $17 a bottle, it’d be easy to buy a case of this as your house white. [Epilogue: just noted the alcohol level on this, 14.3%, wow! It doesn't feel out of balance, but don't chug your glass!]

She says: Fresh, fruit driven style of chardonnay with only a hint of oak on the nose and palate. This is a refreshing change from the many heavily oaked Chardonnay’s on the market. Not an overly complex wine but it is very approachable with or without food at a very easy to swallow price tag! Value ++

Wine truths

“A hard drinker, being at the table, was offered grapes for dessert. 'Thank you,' said he, pushing the dish away from him, 'but I am not in the habit of taking my wine in pills.'”
