He says: I hate cork teases. So promising after you pull the cork, pour it in the glass, and sniff a beautiful aroma. Drinking it is a different matter altogether: a thin wine with overly tart fruit. Like any tease, this wine left me unsatisfied.

She says: This tasting left me uninspired by Carménère. The Viña Cono Sur had intense black fruit and green pepper on the nose which fell flat on the palate for me. The initial rich fruit was unbalanced by a bitter coffee finish that left a bad taste in my mouth.
