He says: Consistency & excellence: it’s why New Zealand is vying for the title of best New World Pinot Noir producers, if they haven’t won that title already. It is shocking how much you get in this bottle for $25. It’s not overly-complex, and it’s not going to win an Allen Meadows award for heritage and obscurity, but it absolutely delivers for the price. Beautiful pure, red fruit and maybe a tad bit of sweetness which might put the purists off. At an informal blind tasting we attended of 7 different Pinot Noirs between $25 & $70, this one took first place in our books. Enough said.

She says: Having been unimpressed with other Malborough Pinot Noir I’ve tasted, this wine proved to me that they can deliver on this finicky variety. Lovely layers of ripe strawberry and cherry with some hints of earthiness. Overall, it was a balanced, elegant and nicely structured wine. There is not much you can argue about at this price point.  Great value.
